Please note that mere applying for a domain does not confer the right to registration of the domain. Upon scrutiny of the application and documents and if the domain name applied meets the relevance criteria with the Institution name and activities, the domain is approved and intimated to the user.

Before applying for the domain, please read important information below :

1. Read carefully Policy & Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) of Domain Name Registration

2. Read and understand the Domain naming conventions/Guidelines and ensure that the desired domain name complies with the conventions

3. Make sure you have scanned copies of the required documents
a. Proof of Educational Institute document issued by UGC/AICTE/Education Board etc.
b. Undertaking on a Non Judiciary Stamp Paper of Rs 100.00 only (Annexure-‘A’)
c. Application on Letter head for domain registration (Annexure ‘B’)
d. Certified documents in support of legal status of entity
e. Organization’s address proof issued by Government authority
f. GST Registration Certificate
g. In case of Societies/Trust/Autonomous bodies, the copy of affiliation of the academic institution opened under it and for which domain name is applied.
h. Copy of the appointment letter of head of organization (ie Head Master, Principal/ Director or VC/ Chancellor etc)
i. Authorization Letter in r/o of official authorised for performing all legal responsibilities essential and incidental for obtaining domain registration in case different from point ‘h’ above.

4. Read the Tariff carefully

5. Go on the Apply Domain tab

6. Check availability  of the desired domain name

7. Read the Agreement carefully and proceed by pressing the ‘I Agree’ button

8. Fill in each field in the form carefully since any wrong data will result in rejection of your application and forfeiture of any payment made.

9. Make payment by selecting Online (Debit/Credit Card/Netbanking) or Offline Mode (NEFT/IMPS).

10. In case of offline payment mode, login and complete the offline payment details to complete the registration process

11. Please note carefully that 'NO' Cash / DD / Cheque is accepted and incase deposited by the user, will not be treated as paid and will not be refunded.


1. The domain Registration/Renewal charges have to be paid through the portal ONLY.

2. Auto reminders for renewal of domain will be sent on admin and technical email-id (filled in online registration form) of the domain 60 days, 45 days, 30 days, 15, and 5 days prior to expiry of domain name.

3. In case Domain is not renewed even after 10 days of the expiry date, the domain will go into deactivation and an amount of Rs. 1180/-(18% GST Included) will be charged for reactivation/restoration along with renewal charges.

4. E-Receipt against payment of domain registration/renewal will be sent to admin email of domain after confirmation of payment and registration/renewal of domain.

5. The refund request will be entertained within 90 days of submitting online payment for valid reasons only.

6. If the documentation and Application process including payment is not completed by the user with 45 days of filling the application, the application will get automatically deleted by the system and no refund will be possible. Fresh application will need to be filed in such cases with fresh payment.

7. If domain registration application rejected due to incomplete documents / and or applied for unrecognised institution, then refund will not be processed.

8. Once, domain is registered, then the refund cases will also not be processed.
